Police arrested 118 protestors at Aintree (Image: GETTY)
Nevin Truesdale, the Club's Chief Executive, said: "Our number one priority will always be to ensure that the safety of all our equine and human participants and racegoers, officials and our own employees is not compromised.
"Everyone should have the right to peaceful protest and we have offered Animal Rising an area near the entrance of Epsom Downs Racecourse to express their views in a law-abiding way.
"However, they have repeatedly made it explicitly clear that they intend to break the law and disrupt The Derby Festival, leaving us with no choice but to seek a High Court injunction."
Conservative MP Jonathan Gullis added: "More woke warriors just trying to spoil people having fun in the sun.
"Do people not get that people have a right to choose what they want to eat, or are they just desperate to get their face on telly as a 'victim of society'?
"These bedwetters just need to shut up and keep themselves to themselves."
