For those who eagerly await Marty Barclay’s dry humor each year, we expect Marty to be retired in Arizona during this year’s sessions. No doubt he will be checking his calendar each day to see which session he will miss. Replacing Marty is Elton Turner, the new Director of Quality Assur- ance. Elton has been visible throughout Crest’s facility over the last few months and this will be a good opportunity for employees to hear directly his thoughts on this important topic. Sessions will run for approximately 45 minutes with several training sites and time slots throughout the month of January for all plant personnel. We are planning to complete training during regular work hours. OSHA Training is required of all employees. There will be customized sessions for: Warehouse (West Warehouse, Ingredient Warehouse & Karlin Foods DC) Mix Facility Office Personnel North Building Lab All Other Plant Personnel (including production dock area) Karen Yardley, Sanitation & Safety Manager, will conduct sessions approximately 40 minutes in length, throughout the month of February. Again, this will be during regular work hours. Headed into yet another new year, employee training is again in focus. Our corporate training program has three main components: Orientation II All new employees Food Safety Training All plant employees OSHA Training All employees Orientation II will be required of all new employees who have not yet completed this session. Training will run for approximately 60 minutes and be held on February 10th at 2:40 p.m. (generally for 1st Shift employees) and February 11th at 1:45 p.m. (generally for 2nd Shift employees). New employees will take this training as paid time, outside of normal working hours when possible. Sessions will be held in the Education Room at the Main Plant (same room as Orientation I) with Erika Meiners.
