CELEBRATING DSPS ACROSS THE STATE
In September we celebrated Direct Support Recognition Week. Being a Direct Support Professional (DSP) requires immense skill, commitment, patience, resilience, and compassion. Through these qualities, DSPs empower, advocate for, and care for the people they support. DSPs uphold individuals’ dignity and make a significant difference in their lives. Chapters across the state celebrated DSPs in special ways during Direct Support Recognition Week. Here are some highlights!

The organization decorated its buildings with banners and garden signs to express appreciation for DSPs and to showcase this love to the surrounding community.

MOZAIC
The Chapter was alive with activities, including a breakfast charcuterie spread, surprise getaways, and kickball games with group prizes. Attendees enjoyed a red carpet entrance, a walk of stars path, and group charades. A spin-the-wheel game awarded winners with daily gift cards, and all DSPs received a special gift.
Mozaic (Seneca, Cayuga, Tompkins, Yates) celebrated Direct Support Recognition Week with special t-shirts designed by staff members Liz Britton and Joelyn Dillon and the individuals at 1083 Day Hab, and treated everyone to a chicken BBQ.
