RECOGNITIONS ACROSS NYS 2024 JUSTICE CENTER CODE OF CONDUCT AWARD

NYS ASSOCIATION OF DAY SERVICES PROVIDERS AWARD
Giuseppe DePalma, a Direct Support Professional at The Arc Westchester, has been awarded the prestigious Direct Support Provider of the Year Award by the New York State Association of Day Service Providers. This honor underscores Giuseppe’s remarkable contributions and achievements at The Arc Westchester. Having recently earned his Registered Behavior Technician certification, Giuseppe skillfully implements these techniques to foster positive outcomes for those he supports. His collaborative spirit and dedication to teamwork enhance the quality of care provided. Known for his positive demeanor and genuine compassion, Giuseppe is not only a cherished team member but also a deserving recipient of this distinguished award.
Resa Rosen-Murray, Direct Support Professional Lead at The Resource Center (Chautauqua), has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Justice Center Code of Conduct Award. This annual award recognizes exceptional care workers who empower individuals with special needs to lead self-directed, fulfilling lives within their communities, free from abuse and neglect. This year, the Justice Center received over 100 nominations, and Resa stood out as one of just five recipients statewide. With an impressive 44 years of service at The Resource Center (TRC), Resa has dedicated half of her career to the Senior Adult Day Habilitation Program. She is a passionate advocate, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support and opportunities to engage in meaningful activities. Through her work, Resa also serves as a mentor, exemplifying the standards of excellence expected of Direct Support Professionals. In addition to the Code of Conduct Award, Resa was presented with a Certificate of Recognition signed by Governor Kathy Hochul. After the award presentation, Joshua Christiana, The Arc New York’s Director for Quality, Compliance and Chapter Relations, and Jamie McCormick , Senior Quality and Compliance Specialist, joined TRC’s CEO Denise Jones,
