As the company turns 85 this year, it’s refreshing to see the next generation of leaders moving us forward. Two of those leaders are our Design Director, Thomas Brennan (top left) and Elizabeth Stroud (smiling)-our Vice President. Both grew up in Lynchburg and attended E.C. Glass High School. Thomas went to Williams College and studied Architecture, going on to work for an architecture firm in Boston. Elizabeth double majored in Art History and Business at Hollins University and went to work for Hermès in New York and Richmond, Virginia. Like many of us, they eventually returned home, and we have since been the beneficiary of those decisions. This offsite design meeting took place at the magnificently restored Virginian Hotel in downtown Lynchburg, one of the sites for our fall catalogue shoot. The Virginian is yet another example of the amazing renaissance taking place in our downtown. If you are headed our way this fall, come visit us.
