Senator Greg Treat was elected to represent Senate District 47 in a 2011 special election. In 2021, Treat was unanimously re-elected by the Oklahoma Senate to serve as president pro tempore, the top leadership position in the Senate. Treat was first elected pro tem by the Senate in 2019. He previously served as the Senate majority floor leader and as an assistant majority floor leader, and he also has served as a majority whip. Sen. Treat attended the University of Oklahoma, earning a political science and history degree.

Senator Kay Floyd was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2012 where she focused on improving our education system and working for Oklahoma’s women and children. She was elected to the State Senate in 2014 and was elected Senate Democratic leader in 2018. Sen. Floyd graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, a minor degree in political science and a minor degree in philosophy. After graduating, she attended law school at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to beginning her political career, Sen. Floyd served as an assistant attorney general and administrative law judge for the state of Oklahoma.

Representative Charles McCall is Oklahoma’s longest- serving Speaker of the House of Representatives. Elected to represent House District 22 in 2012 and elected Speaker in 2016, the fifth-generation Atoka native’s steady leadership has steered the state government from trying times into prosperity. A community banker by profession, McCall’s focus on getting the state’s fiscal house in order has brought the state budget out of shortfalls and into solvency. During his tenure as Speaker, personal and corporate income taxes have decreased while public common education funding has increased by 35% and state reserves have been built up to record levels. McCall holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Oklahoma and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Representative Cyndi Munson was elected in September 2015, becoming the first Asian-American woman elected to the Oklahoma Legislature. In December 2018, she was elected by her Democratic colleagues as the House Democratic Caucus Chair. She primarily focuses on issues pertaining to children, women, working families, public education, criminal and juvenile justice reform, election and voter reform, and Alzheimer’s. A first-generation college student, Cyndi graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal for Leadership and Public Service. In 2019, she was selected to participate in the Council of State Governments Henry Toll Fellowship Program, one of the nation’s premiere leadership development programs for state government officials.
