Qualifications / Education / Specialist skills

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

• A high standard of literacy and numeracy.

• Knowledge or experience of managing all or any of the following: o Sports Complex o Theatre o Domestic Services • Level 2 or equivalent understanding of health and safety requirements – ability to undertake risk assessments.

• Experience of running indoor and outdoor events. • Project and people management. • Financial management and budgeting.

• Effective interpersonal skills. • Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to deal with a wide range of clients at all levels. • Project management – able to bring resources together to achieve a common goal in an effective way. • Planning– able to accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects. Sets objectives and goals. Measures performance against goals. • Effective client liaison skills; Working with external partners – local companies, fulfilment partners, event companies, suppliers. • Proven ability to liaise, co-ordinate and disseminate quality information across a range of disciplines. • People management – a leader and team player, with the skills to get the most out of the people who work with you, and for you. • Effective team building skills and experience in relationship development • The ability to manage under pressure and work to targets and tight deadlines. • To be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • The ability to work on own initiative and to use initiative to problem solve and make decisions. • IT Skills – Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications. • To be committed to and have the flexibility to work hours as determined by the business. This will include working some evenings and weekends. • To be committed to on-going personal development and the development of the team. • An enthusiastic and responsible team player with the ability to work with limited supervision.
