Your Ceremony Before the big day you will be asked to complete a ceremony pack - giving you opportunity to curate your special day - we have included below a suggested order of service: • Entrance Welcome and Introduction (mandatory) • Reading (optional) • Declaratory Words (mandatory) • Reading (optional) • Contracting Words (mandatory) • Exchange of Rings and Promises (optional) • Reading (optional) • Signing your Schedule (mandatory) • Close of Ceremony (mandatory) Your Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate We are legally unable to provide marriage or civil partnership certificates on your ceremony day. Where registrars have attended to conduct your ceremony, we will automatically issue you two copies of your marriage or civil partnership certificate by post. If your marriage or civil partnership took place in a religious ceremony not conducted by registrars, you can order copies of your certificate on our website. They can be purchased directly www.richmond.gov.uk/purchasing_certificates.
