ADVANCED AQUATICS Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross Combo (13+ years) Merge the comprehensive training of both Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross into a single, intensive course. Participants will develop advanced lifesaving skills, including effective victim recognition, two-rescuer rescues, spinal injury management, and active surveillance techniques in aquatic facilities. The course emphasizes teamwork, communication, and decision- making in high-pressure situations, preparing candidates for the responsibilities of assistant lifeguards. Includes classroom and water activities, requiring 100% attendance and participation. Participants must be 13 years of age or older and swim at a Breaking Waves Swim Level 11 ability, or Swim for Life Star Patrol Level 9. National Lifeguard - Pool Option (15+ years) Learn lifeguarding skills, principles, practices, and the decision- making processes that help lifeguards provide effective safety supervision in swimming pool environments. Practice aquatic industry standards, accident prevention, decision-making processes, and rescue skills. This is a 44-hour course that requires study and assignment completion outside of class time. 100% attendance is mandatory. This course is worth two grade 12 high school credits. Participants must be 15 years of age or older, hold a Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid Certificate.
