Multifamily project highlight the firm’s continued growth in New Jersey Russo Development breaks ground on Vermella Rahway as new Paramus HQ plans advance R
“Rahway has been a model of smart, sustained redevelop - ment for more than a decade,” said Chris Erb , executive vice president of Russo Develop - ment. “Vermella Rahway builds on that momentum with a com - munity that connects directly to the city’s transportation hub while complementing its existing neighborhoods and downtown character.” The project represents a collaborative redevelopment effort with the city’s Redevel - opment Agency, with Russo assembling the site from mul - tiple parcels and working closely with local business owners. Footings and founda - tions scheduled for completion early this year, and initial occupancy expected by the spring of 2027. “As with every Russo De - velopment project, Vermella Rahway reflects a strong ar - chitectural identity rooted in its surroundings,” said Diogo Santos , senior VP of Develop - ment for Russo Development. “The design incorporates sub - tle references to historic train station architecture, blending transportation-inspired ele - ments along the rail-facing elevations with a more civic, downtown-square character on the opposite façade.” Russo Development is well underway with construction on a new three-story, 45,000 s/f corporate headquarters on From Road in Paramus, NJ, just north of the Paramus Park Mall, expected to be com - pleted in Fall 2026. The new Headquarters building anchors the compa - ny’s brand at one of northern New Jersey’s most visible cor - porate addresses, adjacent to the Garden State Parkway and directly accessible to Route 17. Representing a major invest - ment in employee experience, the building marks a symbolic and physical shift toward a new era of corporate identity and community presence with a focus on quality, innovation, and reinvestment. Designs for the Russo head - quarters building reflect Rus - so’s continued growth and its forward-looking approach to workplace design — balancing spaces for collaboration, cre - ativity, wellness, independent work and comfort within an environment that celebrates the company’s culture and long-term commitment to its people.
