Listen, ‘In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.’ ” H e closed the book and then began to kneel by the side of the bed. But just then he noticed the woman’s eyes open, a weakened finger shake, and a quaver­ ing voice add, “Please, please read on. You haven’t come to the sweetest verse yet.” So again, he opened the Bible to John 14 and shared with h er, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto m yself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Now, satisfied, her eyes again closed and she responded, “Yes, that’s it! That’s the most precious verse.
