Gage Park After Dark! Gage Park has been Topeka’s favorite playground since 1899, but do you know its long and storied history? Explore the parks darker through stories about the Black Bear from Yellowstone house at the old zoo, or the missing patient from the Topeka State Hospital. Hear these stories and more during this walking tour led by Shawnee County staff and Ghost Tours of Kansas. Meet at the Gage Park Minitrain. Preregistration is required.

Butterfly Walk Spend an evening with the bugs! This hike explores the tiny residents of the Ward-Meade Botanical Gardens or the Ted Ensley Gardens through the use of magnifying glasses, and guidebooks. Participants will use hand nets to help catch insects such as spiders, butterflies, and insects. This will be a loop sidewalk. June 16 | $3 | Ward-Meade 10-11 a.m. th Ted Ensley Gardens 6:30-7:30 p.m.
