Writing The Men In The Shadows was fun. Although I never sought to be a published author, the story was relatively easy to produce. I came up with the concept of “Men In The Shadows” from listening to a song written by Jackson Browne entitled “Lives In The Balance” that was covered by a reggae group called “Third World”. For years, I kicked the idea around about men behind the scenes ruling the world; however, the image of the shadowy leader came from out of a dream. Once I began writing, the story began to grow legs, and before I knew it, it started going in a direction that I didn’t anticipate. There was a period of time that I was at a stopping point because my character had grown larger than I originally imagined, so again, out of a dream, I came up with a way to negate its power. My everyday job is as a Senior Property Tax Consultant, and I’m a Licensed Realtor as well. I’m currently in a space where I actually love my day-to-day job, yet it has a season when the work slows down, and that gives me an opportunity to utilize my creative energy to write and promote my work. I’m in the process of writing my next book, and I am just as excited about that story as I am with The Men In The Shadows. It’s also a fictional mind-teasing horror due to the fact that I was a fan of Rod Serling, Stephen King, and Edgar Allen Poe. My goal in writing is to capture the attention of the person who doesn’t like to read and to make them want to turn the page of my story, as well as leave them with something that they can’t get off their mind. So far, I’ve had the pleasure of reading some reviews that state that very thing. My hope is that you will leave my work with the curiosity to want MORE….
