W ynona Rogers is a name that most people who know it would associate with integrity and insurance. Thirty-one years in the insurance business and a number of awards couldn't prepare her for the events that unfolded in 2007. Now, she uses her unique storytelling skills in Riches to Rags: One Woman's Story of Betrayal and Redemption, the true-life story of her experience with a certain Baptist missionary and bookkeeper. Wynona grew up in the Baptist church, where she was fortified by God's teachings, especially the Ten Commandments. Those teachings would be tested when a rogue missionary devastated her life. Wynona takes you through the harrowing events she experienced firsthand. The story has mystery and a bit of humor but mostly inspiration. She puts you there with her as she recounts the events that spanned the globe from Istanbul, Turkey, to the smallest island in Hawaii. WYNONA ROGERS I have been selling insurance since Oct. 16, 1986. I started with ALFA Insurance in Gulf Shores, Alabama. While there, I won numerous awards and Super Star vacations. In 1996, ALFA gave the first Commercial Agent of the year, which I won, beating out agents in 3 states. I retired in May of 2005. I started my first company, Starfish Insurance, in November 2005. As an independent, I wrote for several companies, one of which was AIG Life Insurance Company. The first year I was appointed with AIG, I won the Cabinet Agent of the Year, beating out agents in 48 states. I have one son, Little Dude, who is absolutely the love of my life. My first edition of Riches to Rags: One Woman's Story of Betrayal and Redemption was released Oct. 2013. I am a Christian and live by GOD's 10 commandments. I also attend Freedom Church in Fairhope, AL. I am an Ambassador for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, an Ambassador for the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, and a Diplomat for the Gulf Coast Business Center. My favorite hobby is writing true-life stories of my life so that what happened to me may not happen to you, except for GOD's blessings and Miracles.
