Second Quarter 2020

You Spoke, We Listened! We’re always working to improve our processes, products and services to better serve our Members. That’s true whether you come into a branch, give us a call, or use our online and mobile banking services. Over the past few months, our digital banking team has been hard at work responding to your feedback about improving the online and mobile banking experience. Thanks to you, we learned about and were then able to fix some bugs related to login authentication and shared access. We also heard your requests to be able to see your account number through online banking, and to make balance transfers to your Frontwave Visa® credit card online. So, we made it happen. We’re working on other enhancements, too, such as being able to change your address online. Stay tuned for updates. Got any other feedback for us? We want to hear it! The next time you visit a branch, call our Member Solution Center or complete an online transaction, you may get a survey asking how we did. That’s the time to tell us what you think. You can also leave us a review anytime on Yelp or Google Reviews. Thanks for your membership!

How You Can Help Protect Yourself Scam Alert!

Scammers, con artists, phishers and hackers – they may use different tools, but one thing they all have in common is taking advantage of people’s trust for their own personal gain. Recently, there’s been an uptick in predators looking to profit off fears surrounding the coronavirus. As always, we would like to remind you that Frontwave will never email, call, or text our members and ask for personal information such as online banking credentials, your card number, CVV or social security number. We will also never send you a text or email with a code you need to verify. If you are unsure about whether an email, phone call or text message is actually from Frontwave, please call us at 800.736.4500. Here are some other common coronavirus scams to be aware of and tips for protecting yourself: Scam: Sellers offering products or vaccines to treat or prevent COVID-19. How to Protect Yourself: Ignore these offers. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there are no teas, essential oils, pills, potions, lotions, lozenges, vaccines or other prescription or over-the-counter products available to treat or cure COVID-19 — online or in stores. Scam: Sellers claiming to have in- demand products such as hand sanitizer,

cleaning supplies, and medical supplies, when in fact they don’t. How to Protect Yourself: Research the seller online. Search for the person or company’s name, phone number and email address, plus words like “review,” “complaint” or “scam.” If anything seems off, don’t buy the product. If it seems to check out, pay by credit card and keep a record of your transaction to be safe. Scam: Fake charities asking for donations related to COVID-19. How to Protect Yourself: Do your homework. Research charities online. Don’t let anyone rush you into making a donation. If someone wants donations in cash, by gift card or by wiring money, don’t do it. These are tricks scammers use. Scam: Phishing emails or texts that ask you to share personal valuable information or click on a link to get coronavirus information. How to Protect Yourself: Don’t respond to emails or texts, or click on links from sources you don’t know. Watch for typos and spelling errors – these are often a sign of a phishing scam. Also take care to protect your computer and your cell phone by keeping your software up to date and using security software. Protect your accounts by using multi-factor authentication, and your data safe by backing it up. Learn more at consumer.ftc.gov.
