One-pot ruthenium catalyzed regioselective C-H functionalization of chromeno[4,3-c]pyrazol-4-ones and their photophysical studies Dinesh Singla, Kamaldeep Paul Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India Fused π -conjugated scaffolds have broad applications in material sciences, natural products, and pharmaceuticals. 1 Hence, designing new compounds using different bioactive compounds and their late-stage modification is a fascinating topic for organic chemists. 2 Conjugates comprising coumarin and pyrazole belong to a family of structurally distinct heterocyclic compounds with significant biological properties. 3 Owing to their considerable importance, effective synthesis of these moieties and their selective functionalization have claimed ongoing attention from the organic community. 4 Herein, we show one-pot access to 1-phenyl-1 H -chromeno[4,3- c ]pyrazol-4-one and in situortho- C-H functionalization using olefins via ruthenium-catalyzed intermolecular dehydrogenative coupling reaction in the absence of base and silver additive. Later on, photophysical studies of final compounds are discussed. References 1. S. Sahoo and S.
