prominent churchmen of the Church of England in Canada. There has been an attempt to call him back to London to a prominent church in that city. Rev. L. W. Munhall, D. D., has been for years the most prominent evangelist in the Methodist Epis­ copal church, and the Editor of a Methodist Episcopal paper. Rev. Mark Matthews, D. D., is pastor of the largest Presbyterian church in America, Seattle, Wash., and has been Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, U. S. A. Rev. Cortland Myers, D. D., is pastor of Tre- mont Temple, Boston, the most prominent Baptist church in America. Rev. George F. Pentecost, D. D., was very prominently associated with Mr. Moody in his evangelis­ tic work, and also in his conference work, and was at one time pastor of Marylebone Presbyterian church, London, one of the best known Presbyterian churches in Eng­ land- Rev. P. W. Philpott, is pastor of the largest church in Hamilton, Ont., and is doing a remarkable work there. Rev. Wil­ liam B. Riley, D. D., is one of the most prominent, if not the most prominent, evan­ gelical and evangelistic pastors in the Bap­ tist church in America. The First Baptist Church of Minneapolis, of which he is pastor, is the most active and aggressive church in that city. Rev. Robert M. Rus­ sell, D. D., was formerly pastor of West­ minster College, one of the most, if not the most prominent college of the U. P. denomination, and was also Moderator of the U. P. Church. Mr. T. Edward Ross, is the head of one of the largest firms of chartered accountants in New York and Philadelphia, and he is a Director of the Montrose Bible Conference. Mr. John L. Steele is a prominent business man in the City of Philadelphia, and one of the most prominent laymen and elders in the Reformed Presbyterian Church. It is decidedly encouraging in this day, when there is so much misrepresentation and what sometimes seems like deliberate lying, regarding premillennialism, to find men so prominent in church and business life, sign­ ing a call for a conference on this subject.

Ainey is a ruling elder in the 'Presbyterian church. He is at the head of the Public Utilities Commit­ tee of the State of Pennsylvania, and is prominently mentioned as a candidate for Governor on the Republican ticket at the £ next election. Mr. Ainey has been one of the Directors of the Montrose .Bible Conference from its inception. Rev. John R. Davies, D. D., is the pastor of one of the most prominent Presbyterian churches in Philadelphia, and was prominently men­ tioned for the position of President of Princeton Theological Seminary. Rev. Prof. W. H. Griffith-Thomas, D. D., is the Prin­ cipal of Wyckliffe College, and was for­ merly Principal at one of the colleges at Oxford University. He is one of the most
