where to find a room in which they could have a supper together with some friends? Yes, it is a wonderful story, and I know from the sparkle in your eyes this morning, you would like to have me tell you about it, and if you will tell me something about that supper we heard of last Sunday,' I will tell you about that pitcher of water, after we have our prayer. Prayer .—Let us bow our heads and thank Jesus this morning for the Bible that tells us all these lovely true stories, and for our Sunday School and teachers. Lesson Story .—You remember in our last story Jesus was to a supper with his friends, and now today we are to hear about another supper, and I want you to tell me about the one last week. (Let the children tell you something of previous lesson, thus gaining their attention and interest. This shows, the teacher whether or not her pupils are getting the 'truths she desires to impress on them). This supper was called the Passover Supper, and was held once every year, when the people who loved God came together to offer thanks to God for saving some of their people that lived a long, long time ago from a wicked king who would not let God’s people go to the land God had for them. God told the people to kill a lamb and put the blood over and on each side of the door of their houses, and roast the meat for their, supper, for He was going to send the deaih angel down that night among the people to take away the oldest child in every home where the angel saw'no blood. All the people who loved God did just as He said and put the blood oil the doors, and so the angel passed over these homes, and that is why it is called the Passover Supper. The disciples knew it was the day for the Passover Supper, and so they asked where they would go to get it ready, and now/ we are going to hear about that pitcher of water. Jesus sent two of his disciples into the City of Jerusalem, and told them they would see a man carrying a pitcher of water, and for them to follow him and ask him what room Jesus could

have to eat the Passover Supper with his disciples, and this man who was a friend of Jesus, showed them a nice large room up stairs all furnished ready for them. (Use same illustration of table as in last week’s lesson). These two •disciples got the sup per all ready, and in the evening Jesus and the others came in, and they all gathered around the table. Jesus, you know, can look right into our hearts, arid He looked into the hearts of his disciples around the table that night, for it was the very last time He was going to be with them before His death, and while they were eating, Jesus said, “One of you here at the table is going to give me over to thè people who do not love me, and they are going to kill me.” The disciples looked very sad when Jesus said this, and they wondered who could do such a wicked tiling,^ and they began to ask Jesus one at a time, “Lord, is it I ?” Jesus told them it was the one who was dipping in the dish with Him, and then Judas, who was the one, moved away from the table and went out. They had finished the Passover Supper, and now that Jesus was alone with just those that loved him in their hearts, ate another supper with them. This supper is called ‘The Lord’s Supper.” Jesus took the bread, gave thanks, broke it and passed it to His disciples,' and told them as they ate it to think of His body that was going to be broken for them when He died. Then He poured some grape juice into a glass and when He had given thanks, He told them to drink it and to think of His blood that He was going to shed for them. Jesus told them to do this after He was gone to remember His death for them. He said, “This do in remembrance of Me.” So when we see people eating the bread and drinking the grape juice in the church, we know that they are rememberng that Jesus died for us and shed His blood for our sins. 'Would it have been right for Judas to eat “The Lord’s Supper?” No; only those who truly love Jesus. Closing Prayer .—Thanking Jesus for His great love for us, and that we live iff a land where we have been told about Him, and that we can know Him and love Him.
