Ken Thorstenson Memorial Scholarship
The family of Ken Thorstenson established this scholarship in loving memory of a man who loved family, farming and raising cattle. Ken was a generous supporter of youth, junior Gelbvieh associations, and 4-H. He had a heart for those who were less fortunate, and those not necessarily “straight A” students.This scholarship reflects the sentiments held by Ken. We recently decided to open this scholarship up to students outside of Selby Area School. Two $1000 scholarships are available to graduating seniors who are pursuing a minimum of an associate’s degree at a college, university or technical in- stitute. Preference will be given to students with financial need who have declared a major area in an agriculture-related field. A complete application is posted at www.BalancerBulls.com and is due April 15.
