BARSTOW UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT SITE EVENTS St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations Around Barstow Unified
Students at Cameron (left), Montara (middle), and Crestline (right) elementary schools marked St. Patrick’s Day by wearing green, building leprechaun traps and hunting for leprechauns. Pupil Services is happy to announce the return of the Positive Action for the 2025-2026 school year!
What is Positive Action?
Positive Action is a six-week parenting course designed to help encourage using positive thoughts, actions, and feelings to help create or maintain a positive family life. The foundation of this course is the philosophy: “You feel good about yourself when you do positive actions, and there is a positive way to do everything”. Participants will receive a “family kit” that includes materials, tips, and lessons on how to implement positive action at home.* (Family kits are currently only available in English) Participation certificates will be provided.* (To receive the participation certificate, participants must attend all six weeks.)
For more information about Positive Action, please contact Jesenia Hinson 760-255-6043 or Alma Esquivel 760-255-6042.
