The Aerona Smart Controller is a wall- mounted central control unit designed specifically for use with our Aerona R290 heat pump. It combines a 4.5” full-colour touchscreen with advanced heat pump management software, all housed in a stylish black unit that suits modern interiors. But for installers, it’s all about what’s under the hood - smarter control, easier commissioning and better efficiency for the whole system. How does the controller help maximise the system’s efficiency? The Aerona Smart Controller operates on weather compensation. That means it constantly adjusts the heat pump’s output in response to outdoor conditions, keeping the internal temperature comfortable without wasting energy. The result is a more consistent coefficient of performance, reduced cycling and less strain on the system over time. It’s an intelligent way to keep running costs down and system performance up. Homeowners can adjust settings from their phone, and installers can tap into live system data remotely.
