Saaema Alavi is an accomplished architecture professional with nearly a decade of experience in aviation infrastructure at Chicago’s O’Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) International Airports. As Assistant Commissioner for Design and Construction with the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), she oversees complex infrastructure and tenant projects from concept through completion. Saaema began her aviation career as a consultant in tenant development before joining the CDA in 2020 as a Coordinating Architect, leading design reviews and collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Her dedication to excellence and process improvement quickly advanced her into leadership, where she now directs the CDA’s Design Group. She is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering her team, championing sustainability, innovation, and professional growth while ensuring Chicago’s airports remain global leaders in design and construction excellence.

Ildefonso “Fonz” Baerga is a Projects Administrator at the Chicago Department of Aviation, where he oversees initiatives focused on brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and enhancing communications across Chicago’s airports. He holds an MBA in General Management & Entrepreneurship from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration from Lewis University, with extensive experience in airport management, airline relations, and regulatory compliance. Passionate about authentic leadership, strategic planning, and fostering collaborative environments, Fonz aims to leverage his participation in the Eno AirMAX program to exchange best practices and further his career in aviation leadership and innovation.

Dontal Hampton is a Project Coordinator at the Chicago Department of Aviation Workforce Development with 17 years in the private legal sector. In 2020, he pursued a BA in Computer and Information Science at East-West University, leading to a transformative CDA internship in 2021. He assists in workforce development projects, recruitment, and performance tracking while fostering partnerships to create training opportunities. Passionate about workforce growth and career development, Dontal strives to enhance job readiness and connect skilled workers with meaningful employment. His goal is to develop innovative programs that empower individuals and drive economic success.
