Tor Vergata Grows Ties in Japan

From May 17 to 24, 2025, Tor Vergata joined the Lazio Region Week at Expo 2025 Osaka, along with other universities from the CRUL (Regional Coordination Committee of the Universities of Lazio), the Rome Technopole, and the DTC Lazio Center of Excellence. The University contributed to a national program focused on innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness, aiming to expand its international presence and foster new academic and scientific collaborations. The Tor Vergata delegation included Prof. Bianca Sulpasso, Rector’s Delegate for International Affairs; Prof. Simone Bozzato, Professor of Geography and Director of the DTC Lazio Center of Excellence; Dr. Francesca Dominici, International Research and Visiting Division; and Dr. Anna Rita Longhi, Business Relations Office. Last May, Tor Vergata University of Rome took part in Expo 2025 Osaka as a representative of a dynamic and future-oriented academic network, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, international cooperation, and global engagement. The mission extended beyond the Expo participation and continued with an institutional visit to the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo an important step in strengthening academic and cultural ties between Italy and Japan.
