Uninews TorVergata #ritmi

On the day dedicated to the Lazio University system, Prof. Sulpasso presented Tor Vergata’s academic offerings, English-taught programs, mobility opportunities, and international research highlighting ties with Japan and the European alliance UNIVERSEH. During the presentation, a Japanese student in the Bachelor’s degree in Global Governance, Taku Fukushima, also shared his Italian experience with prospective students. Moreover, Tor Vergata representatives joined workshops and Open Innovation Labs—collaborative spaces designed to promote new approaches to research valorization, academic entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, supporting spin-offs and innovative startups. After the Expo events, the delegation continued its mission with visits to Kansai Medical University and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo. The event, organized by Prof. Sulpasso in collaboration with the CRUL coordinator for the Osaka initiative, aimed to promote the Lazio university system in Japan. Welcomed by the Italian Institute’s Director, Prof. Silvana De Maio, the delegation attended a meeting focused on presenting the strengths of the participating institutions. The event provided an opportunity to present the strengths of the participating institutions, with particular emphasis on English-language programs, research excellence, opportunities for student and staff mobility between Italy and Japan.

«Our University boasts numerous collaborations with Japan in research and academic mobility. These include agreements with Waseda University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Soka University, and Sophia University of Tokyo. The goal of this mission was to reinforce existing ties and foster new partnerships» said Prof. Sulpasso.
