Kepra Jack The emphasis on firefighter health and wellness has grown significantly over the years and is now a front- burner issue for the vast majority of fire service management and labor

leaders. Kepra Jack is the Co- Founder, Co-Owner, and Chief Operating Officer/Director of Operations for “HeartFit for Duty” – a medical practice dedicated to serving fire departments and other public safety agencies. Kepra is also the Vice-President of “Science Alliance – Science to the Station” where she helps direct and connect leaders and members of frontline agencies with current science and research. Enhancing overall awareness and understanding of existing science and research assists Kepra and her colleagues/partners in translating findings on cardiovascular disease, cancer, sleep disruption, and other chronic conditions into useful formats and training packages. Her work with “Science to the Station” also brings science and research to life by providing practical information and tools that focus on developing and implementing short- and long- term strategies for enhancing the health and well-being of firefighters. Kepra and her “HeartFit for Duty” team values collaboration with organizations such as the Firefighter Cancer Cohort Study, the National Development Research Institute’s Center for Fire, Rescue, & EMS Health Research, Skidmore College and other Universities, the First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE), the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), “Science Alliance – Science to the Station”, and other partners in order to be successful. These partnerships support data-driven approaches to occupational health, expanding the scope of wellness programs, and identifying funding sources,
