DOL - Senior Asset Manager

There will be no direct staff reports. The Senior Asset Manager’s primary responsibilities are to: Operational Housing: • Support the ongoing development of our Housing Strategy including delivery of a Net Zero Carbon objective. • Identify ‘on-strategy’ operational housing sale targets and new acquisitions, and effectively lead and manage those transactions. • Identify other opportunities for capital release or income generation across the operational housing portfolio e.g. through planning, development and leasing initiatives, and implement those strategies. • Manage existing planning and development pipeline through to successful completion of projects. • Build close working relationships with Archdeacons who are key stakeholders in the development and execution of operational housing strategy, and communicate and engage well with all stakeholders at all times. Investment Property: • Support the implementation of the existing Investment Property Strategy. • Identify and implement value and income accretive asset management initiatives in respect of existing property holdings to maximise return, including but not limited to re-lettings, lease re-gears and renewals, obtaining planning consents, refurbishments, disposals and development. • Support the development of a strategy to reduce carbon emissions across the portfolio to achieve Net Zero Carbon as soon as practical. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility within a small team, and to influence strategic change in a historic organisation. The ideal candidate will be MRICS with previous asset management experience (or possessing significant industry experience), including planning and development management.
