P508 Measurement and Assessment II (3)

A continuation of P507 with special emphasis on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and an introduction to the use of projec­ tive personality assessment approaches.

P530 History and Systems of Psychology (2)

Th is course places particular emphasis on major theoretica l systems in­ cluding Structuralism, Behaviorism, Gestalt Psychology, Functionalism, and Psychoanalysis and current developments from these systems.

P536 Developmental Psychology (4)

Concepts and processes involved in the understanding of the psy­ chological development of the person from infancy through adulthood. Major theoretical systems relevant to Developmental Psychology are ex­ amined with emphasis upon the study of cognitive, affective, and psy­ chomotor changes manifested in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

P550 Psychological Bibliography I (1)

An introductory course designed to acquaint the entering student with the basic reference tools for research in psychology and theology. Required of all entering students.

P601 Research Design (3)

Covers the logic of comparative experimentation and causal inference. Emphasis placed on problem definition, hypothesis formation, and design for drawing inference. Major emphasis on the concept of variance, par­ titioning variance, experimenta l and statistical control of variance. Analysis of variance models useful in clinical research will be emphasized. Contribu­ tion of the research process to the integration of psychology and theology
