Malgré un effectif réduit de joueurs, les Aigles PeeWee PGL de St. Isidore ont ter m iné leur saison au so mm et de leur division en plus de trio m pher en finale des séries éli m inatoires. De plus, l’équipe a re m porté, pour une deu x iè m e année consécutive, le tournoi national Pee-Wee de Cap-de-la-Madeleine tenu en début février. L’équipe l’a e m porté dans la finale A 5-0 face au x Gouverneurs de Ste-Foy Sillery. L’équipe de St. Isidore est co m posée de : Willia m Jean- Louis, Vincent Jean-Louis, Jean-Sebastien Houle, Patrick Patenaude, Henri Patenaude, Mathias Prud’Ho mm e, Alec Maisonneuve, Patrick Ranger, Kevin Cadieu x et Francis Laviolette.
The soccer fields throughout Russell Village were filled on Saturday, May 26, as the Russell Soc- cer Club held their first tourna m ent of the year, their annual opening day icebreaker tourna- m ent. Hundreds of young soccer players, parents and soccer club volunteers took part, using the Russell Co mm unity Sports Centre as ho m e base, and playing on the e x pansive soccer fields behind École St-Joseph and Russell High School, including the new Field of Drea m s. Close to 1,500 players are registered this year, including House League, Co m petitive and Adult tea m s.
