As soon as Abra ham heard this sad news he quickly gathered a large number of his men who worked for him together and started after the four wicked kings and their soldiers who were carrying Lot and his family off. After travelling quite a time, Abraham caught up and God was with Abraham and his men and helped him to get Lot and his fam ily and friends, and also the money and cattle all back again. God helped Abraham because he was in the right and the kings who had come up and fought against the city were in the .wrong. What a dear uncle Abraham was to take his men and go after Lot and bring him back, and after Lot had been so selfish and did not treat Abra ham nice at all when he took the best land, but you see Abraham was treat ing Lot like he would wish to be treated, and then too Abraham was a man that loved and trusted God, so he treated every one kindly, even though they had not been kind to him. He knew that Lot would perhaps not even say, “ thank you,” but Abraham was going to do the right thing. And when
THE K I N G ’ S BUS I NESS Abraham got home that night, he was made very happy for God spoke to Abraham, and told him He was his friend, and told him not to have any fear for He would be his reward. Abra ham was glad he had helped Lot, and when we love Jesus, we will always be ready to help others even if they have treated us mean and been unkind to us. Perhaps we can think of some boys and girls that we can help. Let us see how many people we can help this week. Closing Prayer.—-Dear Lord Jesus we thank thee for these stories that help us to be better boys and girls.
