The Story of Rebekah’s Kindness. Gen. 24. Memory Verse.— “ Forget not to show love unto strangers.” Heb. 13:2. Approach.— (Bring to class the best picture you can secure of a baby. > How many of you can tell me what this is a picture of? Yes a dear baby. How

long time God sent Abraham and Sarah this little son He had promised them, and they called his name Isaac, He was their first little baby and O how they loved him, and as he grew up they were very careful about his training and taught him about God just as soon as he was old enough to understand. In all the world there was never a child who obeyed his parents more perfectly than Isaac did. You know When fath ers and mothers love God, they teach their children to love Him too, and boys and girls who love Jesus will obey their parents. Now of course a boy that loved and trusted God and obeyed his parents grew up to be a very fine young man, and his father and mother loved him and were very proud of him, and wanted to do everything they could to make his life happy. Now they knew their boy Isaac was grown up and would be thinking about starting a home of his own, and they wanted to be sure he would get a fine Christian girl who was kind and loving for his wife. Abraham had a servant whom he could trust to do everything just right, and this servant loved and trusted God, so Abraham told him to get ready for a long journey for he wanted to send him to another part of the country. They were to go to the old home of Abraham and see if they could find just the kind of girl there, and Abraham sent ten camels and' sent gold and silver and beautiful clothes to give to the girl whom this servant would choose. They travelled on a great many days and at last the desert was crossed, and one evening he reached the city where Abraham used to live. Outside of it was a well of water, and there every day the girls and women came at sunset to draw water. Do you think he chose the most beautiful, or the one with the prettiest clothes? No, he had a better plan than that for finding out who would make the best kind of a wife for Isaac. He made his camels kneel down near the

baby brother? She would not sell him for all the money in the world. You know when Jesus was living down here on earth He just loved the children too and He would stoop down and pick them up in His arms and talk to them. Now our story to-day tells us about a dear little baby boy God sent into a home I will tell you about. God knows the happiest and best homes are the ones where there are dear little babies, and He is so kind and loves to make the fathers and mothers happy by giv ing them little babies to grow up and make the homes bright and happy. I hope you are all kind and gentle with baby brother and sister and help mother all you can in taking care of them. Prayer.—Dear Jesus, we thank thee for our little baby brothers and sisters, and help us to be kind to them. Lesson Story.—Now you know we have had a number of such lovely stor ies about Abraham, and to-day we are going to have another one about him. Now Abraham told God how much he loved Him and was so thankful for all the good things God had done for him, but he said their home was very lonely, for God had never given them a little baby, and God promised Abraham He would give him a little son. My, Abra ham was so happy and I know he just must have run to tell his wife this good news, for they both wanted a baby boy more than anything else in the- world. His wife was so happy and laughed for joy too. Her name was Sarah. After a
