Known as the ‘Imperial City’ and the ‘City of the Three Cultures’, Toledo is a delight to explore, being relatively small and surrounded by the River Tagus on three sides and medieval walls on the fourth. Our time in Madrid is well spent, too, with a guided tour introducing us to the fabulous city before time at leisure allows us to explore further.

PACKAGED ITINERARY Day 1 Overnight crossing Plymouth to Santander with Brittany Ferries. The second half of our holiday leads us to Granada’s spectacular Moorish Alhambra Palace, with its extraordinary architecture and wonderful views, before time in Seville uncovers more tremendous architecture courtesy of Seville Cathedral, the ancient La Giralda bell tower and the enchanting Alcázar Palace. Our last stop is Salamanca and we end on a high, admiring cathedrals, bridges, plazas and medieval graffiti. Day 2 Arrival in Spain and drive to our hotel in Toledo. Day 3 Driver’s Day Off allowing us to explore Toledo. Day 4 Guided half-day step on tour of Madrid, with the afternoon at leisure to explore. Day 5 Visit to Jaén, then onto our next hotel in Granada. Day 6 Guided tour of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, with the afternoon at leisure to explore. Day 7 Visit to Cordoba, then onto our next hotel in Seville. Day 8 Guided half-day step on tour of Seville, with the afternoon at leisure to explore. Day 9 Guided visit to Seville Cathedral, spending the afternoon at Maria Luisa Park. Day 10 Drive to the golden city of Salamanca. Day 11 Guided half-day walking tour of Salamanca, with the afternoon at leisure to explore. Days 12-13 Drive to Santander for our overnight ferry to Plymouth. Based on Sunday departures only
