Candlelit Châteaux & Great Gardens of Paris One of our best-selling tours, this packaged itinerary includes visits to chic châteaux and glorious gardens – including the Palace and Gardens of Versailles and Monet’s Garden at Giverny, as well as the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte which we explore by candlelight! PACKAGED ITINERARY Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Palace and Gardens of Versailles & Versailles Today we enjoy a guided tour of the Palace and Gardens of Versailles , considered to be one of the most magnificent achievements of 18th century French architecture and design. The awe-inspiring Hall of Mirrors and astonishingly beautiful palatial grounds are highlights of France’s most famous château. In the afternoon we enjoy free time in the beautiful town of Versailles We spend the morning at leisure and enjoy lunch (instead of dinner) at our hotel before boarding our coach in the afternoon to visit another beautiful château, Vaux le-Vicomte . We spend the evening exploring this magical estate by the flickering lights of 2,000 candles, with an illumination display to end the night! (Please note, the candlelit evening operates from mid-May to end of September only.) Dinner can be enjoyed in the self-service restaurant during the evening (not included). Please note, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte only offers an evening meal service during high summer months – please speak with the Sales Team for alternatives if this service is not available for your tour. Day 4 Monet’s Garden at Giverny & Vernon After an early breakfast this morning, we travel to Monet’s country retreat in Giverny where we visit the impressionist painter’s charming pink house and iconic gardens. We can then relax in the gardens at our leisure, admiring the Japanese bridge and famous waterlily pond. Later, we travel to the pretty neighbouring village of Vernon and discover over 200 half-timbered houses with ancient doors and carved timbers, wrought iron shop signs, cobbled paths and the famous Old Mill. We can have lunch here and spend the afternoon exploring the church, museums, village and banks of the River Seine at leisure. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home. itself before returning to our hotel. Day 3 Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

This modern, 4 star hotel has been built around a renovated farmhouse and courtyard and is located in the countryside, south of Paris and offering good motorway access.
