Day 3 Lake Constance This morning we make our way to Bregenz, framed by impressive mountain chains and nestled by Lake Constance. There is time to enjoy and explore the medieval centre of the city and see the landmark Baroque onion spire of St Martin’s Tower before we journey a short distance around the shores of Lake Constance to the town of Lindau. Actually an island brimming with medieval and half-timbered buildings, we enjoy some free time here before our return cruise. Day 4 Principality of Liechtenstein We spend today in Liechtenstein, a 25 kilometre-long principality between Austria and Switzerland. Upon arrival, we embark on a guided walking tour, learning more about Liechtenstein along the way. We then visit the Postal Museum, where we discover the history of Liechtenstein’s postal service through a collection of rare stamps, historic documents and machines. We also receive a souvenir stamp to remember our travels! Our day continues with a sightseeing tour on the Citytrain, taking in the old town, vineyards, Liechtenstein Castle and Rhine Park Stadium. Our journey also takes us to the Prince of Liechtenstein Winery, where we enjoy a tasting and receive a souvenir wine glass, decorated with the Princely coat of arms, to take home. We enjoy free time to explore its medieval arcades and winding alleys and can also visit Schattenburg Castle for lovely views over the old town.
