ARNEGAT, NJ — Walters Group re- ceived five commu- nity awards and recogni- tion for Corporate Website Excellence from The New Jersey Apartment As- sociation (NJAA) . Re- cipients were honored for their accomplishment in the mul t i - fami ly hous- ing industry during the 21st Annual Garden State Awards ceremony held at The Hilton East Brunswick Hotel. rel Oaks Apartments and Whispering Hills Apart- ments – were presented with awards for Excellence in Curb Appeal - Affordable Properties category. Both properties also garnered awards in the Green Build- ing New Construction & Retrofits category. The award acknowledges the benefits of eco-friendly de- sign. Located in Barnegat, Laurel Oaks and Whis- pering Hills were built to LEED standards, making them more energy efficient than conventional non- green housing. Stafford Preserve, a lux- ury apartment-rental com- munity in Stafford Town- ship, was presented with an Excellence in Curb Ap- peal award. The award recognizes properties for their beautiful and well- kept grounds. “It’s an honor to be rec- ognized by NJAA for our commitment to building quality, energy-efficient housing,” said Ed Walters, Jr. , president and founder of Walters Group. “We are proud of the positive impact our projects have made on our communities in south- ern Ocean County.” Nominations were open to all NJAA members, mem- ber properties and associate members, with the opportu- nity to showcase successes in more than 40 categories. The New Jersey Apart- ment Association is a non- profit organization repre- senting multifamily devel- opers, owners and manag- ers throughout the state for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing quality rent- al housing. n
