Site improvements got un- derway earlier this year on Albertson Village, which is being built to LEED-certified levels. Located on West Alb- ertson Ave. just off Haddon Ave., the property sat vacant for more than 10 years. The BALTIMORE,MD —Hack- erman Holdings, LLC and Cassidy Turley announced that 750 East Pratt St. is now the first LEED EB Platinum building in Baltimore. 750 East Pratt St., a class A, 364,000 s/f office building lo- cated in Baltimore’s Central Business District, has not only achieved the LEED Platinum for Existing Buildings (LEED EB) recertification, it is also the first recertified building in Baltimore. “Achieving recertification was a team effort led by Cas- sidy Turley’s Lee Dunfee , senior vice president of engi- neering operations and build- ing owner Nancy Hackerman, along with the tenants and vendors,” said Pat Thomp- son , senior property manager at Cassidy Turley. “The build- ing has realized a 42% reduc- tion in energy consumption over the past 5 years, achiev- ing a year-over-year reduction in energy use.” Some green features include: •Enhanced energy perfor- mance earning the EPA’s prestigious ENERGY STAR, in 2010 through, and includ- ing 2014. •Implemented a comprehen- sive tenant and vendor educa- tion and engagement program to further various sustainable and energy efficiency practices •Diverted over 50% of all on- going consumables and 100% of all durable goods and elec- tronic waste from the landfill •Retrofitted five stairwells with occupancymotion sensors and LED lighting •Over 95% of the building, including tenant suites, has occupancy motion sensors. n 750 East Pratt St. achieves LEED EB recertification
