Ray said: “Through my sculptures, I am attempting to express the mysterious nature of our thoughts and dreams. The idea of the unexpected appeals to me - questions without answers. Other pieces make reference to social and political matters such as the fragile and impermanent nature of our lives, and examine the consumerist culture and lifestyle of contemporary society.”
