A LEGACY THAT LIVES ON CELEBRATING 35 YEARS
On 16 December 1991, a new chapter in Nusa Dua began with the grand opening of Sheraton Lagoon Resort Bali, under ITT Sheraton Corporation. What began as a resort by the lagoon would, over the next 35 years, grow into one of Bali’s enduring luxury addresses. In 1993, following a change in Indonesian regulations requiring hotel names to be presented in Bahasa Indonesia, the resort became Sheraton Laguna Nusa Dua, Bali. Thirteen years later, on 1 September 2006, another significant chapter began as the resort transitioned to The Laguna Resort & Spa Nusa Dua, Bali, joining The Luxury Collection.
In 2008, the resort introduced its new identity as The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali, the name that continues to represent the property today. Over the decades, The Laguna Bali has evolved through several renovations, welcoming new generations of guests while preserving the character that has always made the resort special. Yet perhaps the most meaningful part of its 35-year story is not found in its architecture or its changing names, but in the people who have been part of its journey.
