It was white, it was small, and it fell with a plop, Annie's tooth had come out with a skip and a hop.

Now, Annie was puzzled, a bit scared, and surprised, For she'd never lost anything quite this size.

She pawed at the spot, felt the gap with her tongue, Wondering why, in her mouth, there was now a small rung.

Then, the children remembered, with glee and with shouts, "The Tooth Fairy visits for teeth that fall out!
