Herbal tea for Sleep Chamomile: Pretty chamomile has long been used to relieve nervous tension, irritability and restlessness. It has strong relaxant and antispasmodic properties to ease sore muscles and period pain. Chamomile is perfect for encouraging sleep, and is gentle enough to use in children. For a good night’s sleep, drink a cup of chamomile herbal tea before bedtime. Lemon balm: Treats anxiety and depression and quietens nervousness and panic. Lavender: Well known for its soothing and calming effects, this relaxes the body and aids restful sleep. Herbal tea for Digestion Ginger: Long used to relieve motion sickness, plus nausea during pregnancy and post-operative nausea, ginger is an excellent herbal remedy for indigestion, flatulence and colicky pain. It also stimulates the circulation, helping to warm the hands and feet during winter, and increases sweating, reduces fever and inhibits coughing. Peppermint: Peppermint’s main healing value lies in its ability to relieve wind, bloating, cramps, indigestion and nausea. It works by boosting the production of digestive juices and bile, while simultaneously relaxing the gut wall muscles.

Its proven benefits include reducing stress and anxiety, as well as sharper cognition and better memory. St John’s wort: One of the most effective medicinal plants for treating a range of nervous and mental health problems, including alleviating symptoms of mild to moderate depression, insomnia, nervousness, tension, decreased vitality or lack of engagement, and anxiety.
