Conclusion Forthe pastfew yearsIhave been a very happy userof standm ountloudspeakers:they seem to work wel in m y relatively m odestly-sized room ,and are nottoo big to draw opprobrium from M rsKely.M ycurentpairretailat somewhere close to £4,000, without stands. By com parison these Acoustic Energy floor standers are curentlylisted at£1600,and asubwooferisbyno m eans neces ary – the AE320s ofer plenty of tuneful bas withoutadditionalhelp.A widerangeofam plifiersshould work wel too,alowing the purchaser to build a very enjoyable system fora relativelym odestoutlay.
