VONN VANIER ’21
MATTHEW LAM ’24
I am now a senior in high school living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Inspired by my experiences in the Grace Cathedral Choir, I have pursued musical composition as a passion for the past four years and recently released my first classical music album, Dawn, a survey of my recent orchestral, chamber, and solo works. My music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and other platforms. My work was also featured on San Francisco’s classical music station KDFC on May 7, where my segment began 53 seconds into the recording. I am very excited to attend Stanford University next year to study music and mathematics, and I deeply miss the CSB community. I hope all is well for everyone on campus and beyond. Matthew Lam ’24, now at Phillips Academy Andover, Class of 2028, stepped out of his comfort zone and was the starting middle linebacker on the best junior varsity team in 15 years, finishing the year with five wins and three losses. This was the first year he ever played football.
PARKER WONG ’23
I had a great summer visiting Singapore, Malaysia, and Borneo in June and then climbed Half Dome (picture above) on July 4. The rest of the summer was spent preparing for the SAT and completing a three-week internship at Forell Elsesser, a structural engineering firm in San Francisco. I will start 11 th grade at Stuart Hall High School and am looking forward to a successful football and track season.
