Chris Mursch brings nearly 12 years of engineering experience across design, manufacturing, process, and chemical engineering. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Milwaukee, where he developed a strong technical foundation that has supported his diverse and evolving career in engineering and operations. Chris is currently a manufacturing engineer at a custom machine shop, where he applies his technical expertise to improve production processes, increase efficiency and support day-to-day operations. During his academic career, he completed an engineering internship at a conveyor company, gaining hands-on experience that connected classroom learning to real-world manufacturing applications. Earlier in his career, he worked across multiple engineering disciplines, which gave him a broad understanding of how engineering functions connect and how technical decisions influence overall business performance. In addition to his professional work, Chris contributed to his community by coaching football at Lakeland High School in Minocqua, an experience he found rewarding for its focus on mentorship, teamwork and leadership development. After completing his MBA, Chris plans to transition into leadership roles such as operations manager, engineering manager or vice president of operations. He is especially focused on strengthening his ability to lead teams, develop strategy and support organizational growth at a higher level. Through his MBA experience, Chris hopes to build stronger leadership and strategic business skills, deepen his understanding of business operations, expand his professional network and enhance his decision-making abilities. He sees the program to better integrate his engineering background with broader business and management practices. Chris enjoys staying active and values time outdoors, including fishing, hiking and camping. He is also interested in using his MBA to support local business success and community initiatives, including future fundraising efforts. He describes himself as easygoing, collaborative and eager to contribute both technical expertise and developing business knowledge in team-oriented environments.
