Ashley Mortenson is an experienced insurance professional and lifelong learner with more than 15 years of industry experience spanning customer service, claims management, compliance, technology and leadership. She earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Economics from UW-Stevens Point and has further strengthened her expertise through multiple insurance designations. Ashley began her career as a call center representative while attending college, where she advanced to a financial specialty team responsible for addressing executive-level customer concerns. She later transitioned into commercial insurance, serving as a claims adjuster handling commercial automobile and general liability claims. Driven by a passion for leadership and professional development, she progressed into management roles, leading teams of technical adjusters across multiple business areas. Today, Ashley serves as a claims compliance and technology director, supporting compliance, training and technology initiatives that help drive operational excellence and organizational success. As an MBA candidate, Ashley is focused on enhancing her strategic decision- making capabilities and expanding her leadership skill set. She views the program as an opportunity to gain practical tools that will support future career advancement while strengthening her ability to lead diverse teams effectively. She is also excited to broaden her professional network and connect with peers who share a commitment to growth and continuous learning. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ashley enjoys boating, walking, reading and traveling. She also embraces her role as a busy parent, joking that much of her time outside of work is spent enjoying “mom-taxi” duties. Looking ahead, Ashley hopes to deepen her coaching and mentoring abilities to support professionals entering the insurance industry, helping them build confidence, navigate challenges and achieve long-term career success.
