Sarah Ross is an assistant professor in the UW-Stevens Point Department of Theatre and Dance specializing in scenic design, properties design and scenic art. In this role, she teaches multiple theatre courses, mentors student designers, and serves as the area coordinator for the Design and Technology BFA program. Areas of business that Sarah desires to strengthen through the MBA program are employee retention, supportive and collaborative work structures, and job satisfaction. She is looking forward to adding management skills to her background as a designer and collaborative artist. Sarah is eager to develop the skills needed to critically assess teamwork in the workplace, and is passionate about data-based decision-making, ensuring voices are considered when making changes. Sarah is excited to utilize her theatrical design experience to support successful teamwork for all types of businesses. While Sarah has networked in the theater community, she wants to broaden those relationships to include for-profit businesses and other non-profit organizations. Post MBA, Sarah would like to serve as a consultant for companies to improve collective work structures by ensuring employees have the proper resources, space and knowledge to excel in their role. Most people may not know that Sarah is currently training to attain her private pilot’s license. She loves being outdoors including hiking, camping and gardening. She also enjoys listening to live music–especially jazz.
