At the UWSP Fitness Center, Jacob Ulrich assists students checking into the weight room, sanitizes and wipes down equipment and answers phone calls and queries from community members. Jacob is extremely passionate about athletics and was a three-sport athlete in high school where he played varsity basketball and football for two years. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in management. Jacob looks forward to enhancing his business knowledge, skills and leadership techniques to further his career. He believes the program will expand his expertise from his undergraduate degree and have a positive impact on his future aspirations. Jacob hopes to improve his communication skills and expand his professional network. He is eager to learn new methods on how to overcome personal and professional challenges. To help him stand out against future competitors, Jacob wishes to build connections with his colleagues and business professionals. The behind-the-scenes workings of a business have always interested Jacob. He wishes to work in sports management at the end of his higher education. Becoming the CEO or president of a business is his greatest professional dream. He hopes to achieve this by gaining valuable work experience in a company and guiding its employees to be the best they can be. Jacob’s goal is to become a better leader and advance his decision-making skills. Outside of school and work, Jacob enjoys staying active while being outdoors as a member of the UWSP track and field team. He also likes fishing, boating and watching sporting events with friends and family.
