Bonds and Otinger Lead Douglas Senior Class Submitted Photo

AL and Jerry and Pat Wood of Cullman, AL. During high school, Zander participated in Football, Baseball, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and Math Team. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. He was selected as Math Team Captain and President of Mu Alpha Theta his Senior year. He served as an FCA leader his Junior and Senior years. He has earned 23 dual enrollment credits, participated in community service, he is an active youth at his church - The Fellowship in Albertville, and works part time at Otinger Cattle Company in Horton. Zander plans to attend The University of Alabama and participate in the Blount Scholars and STEM to MBA programs and major in Microbiology/Pre- Medicine. He plans to earn a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health or Athletic Training before he attends medical school to become a Sports Medicine Physician and/or Orthopedic Surgeon.

Lila Jane Bonds is the Douglas High School Class of 2025 Valedictorian. She is the daughter of Scott and Janna Bonds. Her sisters are Callie Rae and Jesa Leigh Bonds. She serves as senior Class President and Auxiliaries Captain for the Pride of Douglas Eagle Band. Lila Jane is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and serves as President of the Computer Science Honor Society. Her clubs include math team, yearbook, and musical theatre. Outside of school, Lila Jane dances at Kohl Academy of Performing Arts and performs at the Whole Backstage Theatre in community productions. She has graduated from the Marshall County Youth Leadership Program, attended Alabama Girls State, been named Miss Douglas High School. In the fall, Lila Jane will be attending the University of Alabama as an Honors College student to major in Communication Studies. Zander Otinger is the Salutatorian of the Douglas High School Class of 2025. His parents are Shane and Angie Otinger, his grandparents are Arvil and Linda Otinger of Douglas, Albertville High School held its 2025 Graduation on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. on McCord Field at Vernon Wells Stadium. The school does not have a Valedictorian or Salutatorian and a group picture was not available at press time. However, the school did provide a list of the students in the Top 10 percent of the Class of 2025.
