Shared kitchen / cooking facilities We provide kitchen facilities for cooking. These are shared spaces to be left clean after you use them, ready for the next person. The following residences have shared kitchen/cooking facilities: South: Hobart Apartments, 42 Melville Street, John Fisher College, Christ College and The University Apartments. North: Leprena, Investigator Hall and Kerslake Hall, and Inveresk Apartments. Common Rooms Common rooms can be used for activities such as study groups, meetings and social gatherings. The common rooms across our three campuses vary and offer a range of facilities including vending machines, games, BBQs, lounge chairs, TVs, DVD players and study spaces.
Laundry Laundry facilities are included. You will need to provide your own washing powder. Non-residents are not permitted to use our laundries. Please collect your items as your cycle finishes.
Bike Storage Bike storage facilities are available free of charge. Ask a member of the Student Living Team for more details.
Internet Access Wi-Fi is accessible in most areas of residences via ‘eduroam’. You will need your University of Tasmania email and password to access it. For non-educational internet use, you will need to register with Connectmy.net and create an account.
Communications Official communications from Student Living will be sent to your UTAS email address. Your UTAS email address is also what you use to log into the Resident Portal.
