USEFUL INFORMATION
Room Preferences In your application for accommodation at Student Living, you may include room preference details. Please note, there is no guarantee that your room preferences will be met and you may not get the same room in subsequent contract periods. Many students prefer to change rooms each year so that they can meet new people and have new experiences. Payments and Fees You are required to pay all fees and charges as set out in the terms and conditions of your Residency Tenancy Agreement. Fee installments must be paid on or prior to the due dates. Rental charges are charged fortnightly and paid in advance. Our preferred payment method is direct debit. That means your fortnightly rent will be automatically deducted from your nominated account/card. Please make sure you have sufficient funds in your account or you may be charged a rejected direct debit fee. Cash payments are not accepted. Late Payments If rental payments are late, you may be in breach of your Agreement. If rent is 14 days or more overdue, you may be issued a Notice to Vacate. Your Agreement may also be terminated. Failure to pay fees will result in a block on your University account until the debt is cleared. A block will result in you not being able to access your academic results. If you are experiencing difficulties paying your fees, please contact our Student Accommodation Team before fees are due so that a payment plan can be arranged. Public Transport Hobart City and Sandy Bay: The free UniHopper runs throughout the day to get you between our City locations, the Sandy Bay campus and Sandy Bay student accommodation. All Tasmanian campuses: Metro buses run very frequently between Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast campuses and their city centres, and also offer suburban services directly from some campuses.
