Pacteon Group Acquires Descon Integrated Conveyor Solutions Brewerton, New York based Pacteon Group, a provider of end-of-line packaging equipment solutions, announced its acquisition of Descon Integrated Conveyor Solutions, a provider of integrated conveyor systems for the food and beverage industry. The acquisition of Descon aligns with Pacteon’s vision to be the one source for end-of-line packaging automa- tion equipment and strengthens its portfolio of offerings. By capitalizing upon the expertise, technologies, and re- sources of both organizations, Pacteon aims to deliver greater value to its customers and partners. “We are thrilled to welcome Descon into the Pacteon family,” said Mike Odom, CEO of Pacteon Group. “This ac- quisition represents an exciting opportunity for us to pro- vide more complete solutions for our customers to auto- mate the supply of life’s products.” Descon brings a wealth of experience and capabili- ties to Pacteon, including continuous improvement, in- novation, and customer satisfaction. By leveraging these strengths, Pacteon aims to enhance its competitive posi- tion and drive long-term value. As part of the acquisition, Descon will operate as a sub- sidiary of Pacteon Group, maintaining its brand identity, facilities, and leadership team.
Atlas Packaging Introduces Event Seating Solution
Barnstaple, England based Atlas Packaging, part of the Smurfit Kappa group, has introduced the BumBox, a sus- tainable and reusable event seating solution, suited for festivals, concerts, and outdoor movies. Users can reuse it for picnics or in the garden.
“Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility allows print and cut the BumBox on site with large warehouse facilities for storage and our own fleet network to guarantee deliv- ery times,” said a company spokesperson. Doubling up as an advertising platform, the BumBox has proven to be a new media opportunity for sponsors, marketers and advertisers keen to deliver their message to a wider audience.
