October 1, 2025
Dear friend; As we’re nearing the end of 2025, we are excited for what’s coming in 2026! We will be celebrating a couple of milestones next year as we host our 30th Achievement Awards Gala on Friday, March 27 and celebrate Arc of Onondaga’s 75th anniversary of serving the CNY community! March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and we can’t think of a better time to recognize people and organizations that support Arc of Onondaga’s mission to “turn disability into ability” and spotlight the achievements of people who receive support from the agency. The 2026 event will be held on a Friday night at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. Make sure to mark you calendars now for an unforgettable evening. We will be announcing our honorees on December 1, 2025. Our 32nd Annual Arc Race will be on Saturday, September 12th! Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to get involved in our 5k run/ walk, 3k Family Fun Walk, and the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run! Again next year, we’ll celebrate Athletes in Tandem, which pairs people of all abilities who receive support from Arc of Onondaga with runners and walkers from the community. We can’t wait to cheer them on! Sponsorship opportunities for our events are enclosed. As always, your generous support of our events and initiatives is appreciated. Thanks to your support, this year, the Foundation funded a variety of grants that made a positive impact on the people who receive services from Arc of Onondaga. The money we raise from our events makes a difference, and you make a difference when you support them. Please see the Impact of Giving enclosed that outlines recent grants that were funded thanks to your support. If you would like to discuss your involvement, please call Joanna Jewett, Chief Communications Officer at 315-401-0917 or email jjewett@arcon.org. We look forward to working with you to make 2026 an unforgettable year. Thank you for your kind consideration and commitment to Arc of Onondaga’s mission of turning disability into ability. Sincerely,
Brian Speller, President Arc of Onondaga Foundation

What Your Sponsorship Makes Possible
When you support the Arc of Onondaga Foundation, you help to make a lasting impact upon the people in our community with developmental disabilities who receive services from Arc of Onondaga. The Arc of Onondaga Foundation was established in 2002 to ensure the financial future of the agency by securing community support. Every year, the Foundation awards grants to help fund projects and initiatives that make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of people Arc supports. Without funding from the Foundation, these projects and initiatives would not be possible. Since its inception, well over $1Million of funding opportunities have been awarded by the Arc of Onondaga Foundation. Grants have enabled Arc of Onondaga to purchase exercise equipment, sit-to-stand lifts, sensory items, and have provided funds for people to enjoy recreational opportunities and theatrical experiences at the Redhouse Arts Center. Recently, the Foundation awarded over $38,000: $12,500 to Project Connect, which helps people enjoy recreational experiences, $10,000 to a Redhouse Arts Center production which enables the people we support to experience all facets of a live theatrical production, and $8,500 to enable Arc to host Halloween and Ugly Sweater parties throughout our sites to celebrate the holidays. These are your dollars at work!
