Dear Friends, The City of Irvine is excited to share some exciting news. With the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Older Adult Services, 2023 through 2028 , our goal has been to use more age-inclusive language to identify the older adult population. You may have noticed the name of this publication has changed to Irvine Connection for Older Adults . Additionally, you will now find program- ming for ages 50 and older in the Older Adults section of Inside Irvine . We are eager for the updates and hope they will help foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Mark your calendars for two exciting events this summer. The annual Variety Show is Thursday, August 8, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of theatrical entertainment performed by their peers. The Healthy Living Expo is Friday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Lakeview Senior Center. This free event features more than 40 exhibitors, City of Irvine resources, fitness demonstra- tions, educational presentations, and more.
